Tata consultancy services(TCS) is a multinational IT company based in India. The technological companies mainly consist of 2 types: product-based and other services-based. As the name suggested TCS is service-based Tech. company  It is a subsidiary of Tata sons and operates in 46 countries. It was started under the name of Tata Computer Services. Its initial agreements included punched card administrations to sister company TISCO (now Tata Steel), chipping away at an Inter-Branch Reconciliation System for the Central Bank of India, and giving agency administrations to Unit Trust of India.

On 25 August 2004, Tata consultancy services(TCS) turned into a publicly listed organization. Tata's sons hold 72 % of TCS's stakes. Tata consultancy services(TCS) is the employer of 4 lakh people. It ranked 3 after the Indian army and Indian railways. According to market capitalization, it ranked 2 all over India after the reliance group. It leading and largest IT services company in India. Around 75% of the profit of Tata Groups comes only from TCS. On 8 October 2020, TCS outperformed Accenture in market capitalization to turn into the world's most valuable IT company with a market cap of $144.73 billion. On 25 January 2021, TCS again outperformed Accenture momentarily, in market capitalization to turn into the world's most valuable IT company with a market cap of $170 billion. that very day, TCS turned into India's most valuable company, outperforming Reliance Industries with a market cap of ₹ 12.55 lakh crore
